Louise is currently Finance Manager at international theatre company Complicité and has worked in the arts as a performer and manager for almost 25 years. After studying Dance at Manchester Metropolitan University, she moved to Bath and danced with local companies, performing at festivals and gaining experience in arts management.
Since then, she has developed arts activities for young people at The Courtyard Youth Arts Centre; supported emerging companies and community artists at The Rondo Theatre; built relationships with rural communities at Oxfordshire Theatre Company and worked with internationally renowned choreographer Shobana Jeyasingh, responsible for tour management, finance, HR and operations.
At Complicité she is responsible for the financial sustainability and efficiency of the organisation and also plays a lead role in HR, policy, operations and governance.
Outside of work she is passionate about hiking, especially in the mountains, and the many physical and mental health benefits it brings. She finds that many a problem is solved while out walking!
