Lily Dooks

Lily is originally from Keighley, Bradford. Lily trained for three years in contemporary dance at Trinity Laban in London. Her highlights were working and collaborating with Tanusree Shankar and Protima Chatterjee with Abundant Arts, and Hagit Yakira. Lily also valued lessons in somatic learning to find mind-body realisation and connection, informing dance practice and general well being, she hopes to train in a practice professionally one day. 
Lily relocated to the North East to complete an MA in performance and physical theatre in 2019. Lily enjoys collaborating on creative projects and values different voices within shared spaces, she has recently worked with a new local dance theatre company Pelican Theatre. 
Having worked in hospitality for many years, Lily welcomes the opportunity to contribute to a company that celebrates people and their stories while championing equity within its foundations. 
Lily also has a great love for the outdoors, sharing oranges with friends and playing pool.
Lily began her journey with us as a Company Assistant, where she supported the delivery of projects and productions, while also being the access support worker for our Artistic Director. She has since progressed to the role of Artistic Coordinator, playing a key part in bringing stories to life through dance and movement.
